Rewards and benefits

Besides competitive salaries, we offer a fantastic range of benefits.

Flexible working

We encourage our people to work smartly and to give their best to ORR. So naturally we want to provide them with the IT facilities and working patterns to enable flexible working in its truest sense. We will support you to work in the best way for you to deliver your objectives, whilst maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

25 days' annual leave (which increases to 30 days over 5 years)

In addition to your annual leave increment during your first five years, you will receive 9 days' public and privilege holidays. Annual leave entitlement, public and privilege holidays is pro-rated for part-time workers.

Pension scheme

Depending on whether you're permanent or on a contract, you can choose between two excellent pension schemes. These equate to around 30% additional salary.

Interest free season ticket and bike loans

We offer interest free loans for season tickets, or if you'd like to purchase a bicycle. The advance is payable in monthly installments.

Cycle to work scheme

If you'd rather hire a bike and cycling equipment, the hire costs are deducted from your salary on a monthly basis. This leads to savings in tax and national insurance.

Generous paid parental leave

We offer enhanced maternity, adoption and shared parental leave of up to 26 weeks full pay followed by 13 weeks statutory pay and a further 13 weeks unpaid. We offer paternity leave of 3 weeks full pay.

My lifestyle benefits

We offer access to a range of benefits and discounts to suit your lifestyle. Savings include discounts at hundreds of retailers, gift card discounts, holiday offers and gym discounts.

Health & wellbeing

We offer an excellent occupational health service and Employee Assistance Programme. For example we usually provide flu vaccinations every year, as well as workstation assessments and free eye tests; also you have access to 24/7/365 counselling.

Staff engagement

ORR has a single table for negotiation and consultation with trade union side and (non-union) staff side working together as the staff representatives group (SRG). SRG meets with management every other month at staff council meetings where changes to staff terms, conditions and other working arrangements, including the pay deal are discussed. Twice a year all staff have the opportunity to attend staff council as observers.

Social activities

We're a very sociable bunch at ORR and social activities are held throughout the year.
