The rail regulator has recommended that the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) agrees a new settlement with its members, laying out mutual expectations and obligations.

The Office of Rail and Road has today confirmed in its initial consultation on the 2018 Periodic Review (PR18), that its regulatory approach will support a greater focus by Network Rail on working with train operators at route level, to deliver more for passengers and freight customers.

To understand more about passengers’ awareness of compensation eligibility and their experiences of claiming compensation for train delays, we contributed funding for Transport Focus to undertake a survey of 8000 passengers.
