This page sets out details of the workshop we held on our proposals to establish a cap on variable usage charge and a freight-specific charge, on Thursday 12 July 2012.
Through the 2013 periodic review (PR13), we determined what Network Rail must achieve from 2014-19, the money it requires to do this, and the incentives needed to encourage delivery and outperformance.
We hold network rail to account for delivering what it promised – at the amount it agreed to do it for – and we require it to meet its obligation to provide a safe, high-performing, and efficient railway.
