This page contains a list of entities in charge of maintenance (ECM) certificates and links to the certificates issued by us up to 3 May 2018. Responsibility for the surveillance of these ECMs has now been transferred to other certification bodies.

Any mainline transport operator who holds a safety certificate or safety authorisation must send us an annual report on their safety performance.

This page contains an overview of the arrangements for controlling risks arising from the introduction of new or altered vehicles and infrastructure on non-mainline rail systems.

In cases where those with a duty to cooperate fail to reach an agreement it is expected that they will explore all avenues to resolve the dispute.
