Eurotunnel Network Statement 2017
19 February 2016

Consultation

Date published: 24 July 2015
Closing date: 18 September 2015

On 16 June 2015 Directive 2012/34/EU[1] ("the Directive") came into force. Once France and the United Kingdom have transposed the Directive into domestic legislation, economic regulation of the Channel Tunnel will become the responsibility of ARAFER and ORR ("the authorities") as the independent regulator of France and the United Kingdom, respectively. Together, the authorities will ensure that principles of transparency, predictability, fairness and non-discrimination are observed in relation to the Channel Tunnel. In advance of the transfer of responsibilities, the authorities are working together in preparation for their new role.

One of our first jobs is to review and prepare an opinion on Eurotunnel's 2017 Network Statement. We invite you to provide your views on any aspect of the Network Statement, including explaining where you would like to see changes based on your experience of previous Network Statements. You may also wish to highlight any areas of the Network Statement that have the most significant impact on your business.

This exercise was separate to the consultation that Eurotunnel will make as part of its usual practice.
