ORR undertook a Post Implementation Review (PIR) on behalf of the Secretary of State on the Train Driving Licences and Certificates Regulations 2010 (as amended).

Consultation outcome

This consultation has now concluded and DfT have published a final ‘Post Implementation Review 2’ report. 

We have published a separate findings report which contains the responses we received to the online survey. 

Purpose of the Review

The PIR considered whether the regulations remain fit for purpose and are achieving their original objectives. ORR’s review was overseen by the Department for Transport. The PIR was completed by 21 May 2023.

ORR will also publish a Summary and Findings report, which will be made available on our website.
