Monitoring and reporting on High Speed 1
We monitor HS1 Limited's operational performance against the performance floor measures, set out in the concession agreement.
Network regulation / asset management
HS1 Limited has a general duty concerning stewardship of the physical HS1 railway infrastructure, which means they must secure the operation, maintenance, renewal, replacement and planning and carrying out of upgrades in accordance with best practice and in a timely, efficient and economical manner, to the greatest extent reasonably practicable having regard to all the circumstances.
Enforcement of High Speed 1 Limited
We can make enforcement orders, including preventative action for likely future breaches.We can require compliance with an order through seeking an injunction or other relief or remedy. However, we are not able to levy financial penalties.
