Network Rail has today been fined £1.2 million after pleading guilty to an offence under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, following an investigation and prosecution by industry regulator the Office of Rail and Road (ORR).
We undertake targeted assurance reviews to gain in-depth understanding into ongoing or emerging issues, risks and opportunities within Network Rail which could impact regulatory targets.
As the Railways Bill progresses through Parliament and work continues to establish Great British Railways (GBR), ORR will consult on a range of policy, regulatory and implementation matters arising from rail reform.
